Several years ago, at an IMC USA National Convention, I chaired a panel on how clients hire consultants. One panelist, a buyer of primarily off-the-shelf training programs, said that she focused on determining if the offering met her specifications and her price range and if the consultant was qualified to perform the work. Anything else she eliminated.
